Remain Young

Anti Aging Remedy

Aging is the organic process of growing older and showing the effects of increasing age. As the human body grows year by year it is normal that body shapes changes naturally, some of this changes cannot be avoided but your lifestyle choices may slow or speed the process.

The human body is made up of fat, lean tissue (muscles and organs), bones and water. After age 30 the body tend to lose lean tissues. Your muscles, liver, kidney and other organs may loose some of their cells. This process of muscle loss is called ASTROPHY. Bones may lose some of their minerals and become less dense( a condition called OSTEOPENIA, or at its later stage, osteoporosis) tissue loss reduces the amount of water in the body system. This processes are not abnormal it is just the reactions of the body towards the changes happening which is aging, it is now the lifestyle choices that affect how quickly the aging process takes place, this is why we come up with some tested and proven remedies which can help avoid aging even in due time.

·         Wear Sun Glasses – You may think this is fashion statement but wearing sunglasses on regular basis will drastically reduce wrinkles from forming around your eyes which is a clear sign of aging poorly.

·         Eat Berries – It is the anti oxidant properties in berries that makes them such an effective anti aging food, cranberries, strawberries, and raspberries

·         Wear Hats – do this when necessary especially at beaches or when going for picnic in a sunny area where there are no sheds.

·         Eat Dark Chocolates – Eating or drinking dark chocolates can actually help protect the skin against harmful effect of UV exposure.

·         Exercise – It is a must to keep fit to avoid aging
·         Drink Red Wine
Red wine is particularly a rich source of antioxidants flavonoids phenolics, its phenolics ingredient, resveratrol in grape skin and seeds increases HDL cholesterol and prevent blood clotting , flavonoids, on the other hand exhibit antioxidant properties helping prevent blood clots and plagues formation in arteries.  In the body red wine works in a way similar to calorie restriction, when primates and rodents are given a diet which is 30% less in daily calories, they live longer and are resisant to many age related problems (calorie restriction is not yet proven in human)

·        Use wrinkle reducing creams and mosturizers especially the ones that contains retinol.
·         Eat Beans -  while researching anti aging foods, I was amazed to learn that beans are so very healthy. I knew that beans were a good source of protein unlike animal protein sources, beans do not have any bad fat in them. Beans are extremely high in antioxidants, infact a half cup of red, kidney or pinto beans contains some of the highest amount of antioxidants in any food.
Antioxidants are an important nutrient for anti-aging and longevity, they fight of the damage caused by free radicals, this helps protect your organs and tissues from long term problems caused by metabolism and unhealthy foods. The best part about beans is that they fill you up with few calories.
·         Use Sunscreen -  Using a sunscreen with at least 15 SPF everyday will help you stay looking younger for much longer
·         Drink lots of water
, this helps hydrate the body, it is important you stay hydrated because your body depends on water for survival, water makes up more than half of our body weight , every cell, tissue and organ in our body needs water to function correctly. For example our body uses water to maintain its temperature, remove waste and lubricate joints, water is essential for good health

HOW BODY LOSE WATER
You lose water each day when you go to the bathroom, sweat, and even when you breathe, you lose water even faster when the weather is really hot , when you exercise, or if you have a fever. Vomiting and diarrhea can also lead to rapid fluid loss. If you do not replace the water you lose you can become dehydrated.

HOW TO KNOW IF YOU ARE DEHYDRATED
·         Little or no urine or urine that is darker than usual
·         Dry mouth
·         Sleepiness or fatigue
·         Headache
·         Extreme thirst
·         Confusion
·         No tears when crying
·         Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
Don’t wait until you notice symptoms of dehydration to act, it can be hard to recognise when you are dehydrated especially as you age. Actively prevent dehydration by drinking plenty of water .
·         Eat Spinach
– Eating a healthy portion of spinach everyday will eliminate cellulite and keep your skin glowing, this vegetable is also packed full of antioxidants which will help fight wrinkles and fine lines on the face. Consider throwing a hand full of spinach in your early morning berry smoothie and you will have one heck of an anti aging breakfast in your hand
·         Take Supplement
-  eating recommended amount of fruits, vegetables and nutrients everyday is next to impossible for most people, I happen to fall into that category, so for this reason, it is important to take a multivitamin supplement everyday.

Note: This is not to say that you must do or follow all this anti aging remedy , of course no, we are sure too busy to practice all daily, you can just stick to two or more of this techniques or better still make a time table for yourself, I am sure no one would love to age before time, you know how awkward it is when someone looks older than his or her age.
